Glasgow Children's Holiday Scheme at 70

In 2026, Glasgow Children’s Holiday Scheme celebrates its’ 70 th year. We are so grateful to everyone who has helped us achieve what we have over all those years.

To recognise this anniversary, we have continued to ensure over 200 families enjoy a caravan break as well as enable several youth groups enjoy a break at our vans. Through Hilary’s Fund, we have ensured hundreds of children and young people have enjoyed a day out or fun activity.

We are also sponsoring a Christmas Show for over 300 children at The Citizens Theatre, close to where we were founded by Lilias Graham in the Gorbals. We will also run our annual Christmas Gift Scheme.

We are so grateful to all Trustees (past and present), staff and former staff, volunteers, funders and supporters and most of all to the thousands who have benefitted from the Holiday Scheme over the decades.

Our 70th year AGM will be held on Monday 16 November at 11 a.m. If you wish to attend or want to share any stories about the Holiday Scheme please contact us at admin@glasgowchildrensholidayscheme.org.uk
